Penelope Cruz’s Costume Bumped Out to Make Room for Baby

Penelope Cruz’s blossoming baby bump caused a bit of extra work on the set of Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides as well as a few extra people on the cast roster. To accommodate her burgeoning figure, costume designers had to refit and alter her wardrobe every three weeks or so. Cruz, who is pregnant with her first child also had several body doubles for certain scenes which made filming a little more time consuming and a little more work, but entirely worth it for the end result.

The Queen of Halloween was a pirate one year. It’s really an amusing story- apparently there is some insanity in her genes that makes her keep all of the costumes that cross her door step regardless. After giving birth to the Princess of Crumb, the Queen had apparently lost way more weight than she had thought. So imagine if you will, the Queen and the Princess (dressed as a clown, it should be noted) trying to get as much candy as possible in a pirate costume that is shall we say, not fitting the lower half.
