Every era had its fashion- good or bad. And every fashion had its good points and its bad points. For instance, almost everybody could wear the peasant style dresses of the late ‘60’s and early ‘70’s because they were flattering and attractive to nearly everybody. However, if you were a short woman with stumpy legs, 1970s fashion, like the bell bottom jeans and trousers could make you look, well, like a bell.  And it does not matter how stylish you thought you were, no one looked good with a live fish swimming in the heels of their shoes.
