Lovely Alice met up with adventure on a lovely day. Not satisfied to be in her own yard, safe and sound, Miss Alice ends up following a harried rabbit down a rabbit hole where she finds a group of interesting characters and some very strange situations.
Alice in Wonderland
From the original story to the Disney movie and even to the revamped, stylized version by Tim Burton, Alice has been a favorite character and a favorite costume. There is certainly no limit on the types of Alice in Wonderland costumes that you can find and you could potentially have a variety to match the event and your moods perfectly. But, no matter what type of adult costume you are choosing, there is one thing that you might need to make the look all that much more perfect. The right costume accessories make the costume, they say and nothing is more important than having the right hair style. There are a few people who are possessed of a head of shining gold strands that could be styled to look like Alice's, for the rest, there is the easiest solution: the Alice in Wonderland Wig.
Alice in Wonderland Costume Wig
The Alice in Wonderland wig is blonde (of course) with ringlets that cascade down to mid back and frame the face like a golden halo. This wig also features an attached black headband to make it even easier to use- the style is already in place so all that you need to do is to put it on and possibly lightly pin it into place. If you have never worn a wig before, there are a few simple hints that you should keep in mind.
First, make sure that you have gotten all of your own hair out of the way. The longer or thicker your hair is, the more difficult this may be. If you can't pin it back without creating a bulky appearance, it is highly recommended that you wear a wig cap which looks like a stocking that you slip over your head to control your hair. This stocking creates a smoother base for the wig to sit on top of and will also prevent your own hair from peeking out as the evening wears out. The stocking also provides a secure place to slide bobby pins or other fasteners if the wig will not securely stay in place for you. Some wigs feature fairly strong elastic which helps keep the wig in place.
Second, make sure that you have looked at the materials that are used in the wig to make sure that you are not going to have an allergic reaction. You should also keep in mind that the weather may also play a role in the comfort of the wig. Hot weather may make you wish that you had chosen another costume altogether!
